Snapalot78 – dslr video workshop

Stuart Jefferies and Steve Vernon – Clarke decided to take a road trip around the USA and film whatever came across their path… you follow their escapade here: Dodge & Burn: The Road Trip

‘One Dodge Charger, 2 Photographers/Film Makers and as many states as we can fit in. Mostly Unplanned and letting the ‘Road Gods’ guide us through Americas vast landscapes and forgotten towns. Documenting our experiences and thoughts as we go and sharing them with you when ever we find a WiFi hotspot.’

The Homestead‘ – is the first of several short interviews they shot while on this road trip around America. They traveled for nearly 3 weeks and travelled through 9 states. Their aim was to meet interesting people who would give them a small insight into their lives. None of the people they met knew that they were coming to interview them and on a couple of occasion neither did they! But, all were gracious enough to give them a few moments of there time.

You can see more of their interviews here: Snapalot78

Stuart will be carrying out a Video DSLR workshop at the Multimedia event at TFC – The Flash Centre – BIRMINGHAM – on Wednesday 24th November 2010

Lighting The Gadget Scientist

Ian Pack and Paul Noble are working with Mark Burton – author of The Gadget Scientist™ – to produce a series of videos to promote his superb book.

Ian has blogged about the lighting set up they have used: “See how I developed the lighting for Mark’s PTC (Piece To Camera) shot in Paul’s studio. I chose to use Rosco Lightpads exclusively because they are quick to set up, energy efficient, daylight colour balanced and cool running so consequently do not cook the talent!”

Dslr 4 Real – shooting motion picture with DSLR camera

DSLR 4 REAL

__________________________________________________________

Sam Morgan-Moore has been a professional photographer for the past 15 years.

As Sam puts it, his role has been a ‘hole filler‘ – filling holes in brochures and newspapers and the odd poster or billboard for clients (paying clients). Over the last few years he has been ‘filling holes’ in clients websites too – with photography. But for Sam’s clients now these holes are saying ‘video goes here’…

Inspired from his experiences in moving into motion from stills,  Sam has just launched his new blog:   DSLR 4 REAL

His blog is all about making films or videos with a digital stills camera, or as he puts it: shooting with a DSLR Motion picture camera.
